Support for Parents in Bradford

Sometimes parenting can get hard and at times overwhelming. Sometimes we don’t parent in the ways we'd like to. It's important to know where to get support and understand this is a healthy way to help yourself and your child. You're certainly not alone in this.

A family hub is a place, or a group of places across the district, where local families along with their children and young people can go and receive the help and support they may need, as well as enjoying the facilities and activities they have on offer.

Bradford, Keighley and Craven MHST Parent Support Group

The Mental Health Support team (MHST) provides support to children and young people (school age), school staff, parents, and carers.  For more information about their specialist Parent Support Group, please click here or email them directly here.


Bradford SENDIASS

SENDIASS offers support to parents and carers of children and young people with SEND (0-25) in the Bradford District. They can also support your child or young person to access the service independently.

Early Help

Early Help is the support provided for children, young people and their families to respond when difficulties emerge or to stop problems developing in the future. This support can be provided at any point in a child’s life to stop small problems getting bigger.  For more information, please click here.

Health Visiting - NHS Bradford District Care

Our health visitors provide a range of services to support you on your parenting journey, from getting ready to be parents and giving birth, to your child’s toddler years and starting school. The service is broken into small teams that work across the district, meeting families at home and at the local family hubs. Each team includes health visitors (Specialist Community Public Health Nurses), staff nurses and community nursery nurses.  For more information, please click here.
